Sara’s Quilt

Here are some photos of Sara’s Quilt in process. The next step it to put the border on. We can have the bubble border:

Or the striped border:

And here is a view of the entire quilt without the borders:

Nancy and I thought the bubble border looked best, but when you see everything together with the pink sashing, the bubble border makes a very soft, pink quilt. The stripe adds a little zip. It all depends on what look we want. So let me know what you think. That includes Crackpots who are only observers as well as the participants in this project.

I vote for the bubble border. To my eye the stripey fabric is a bit psychedelic.

I like the stripes, but my opinion on things pink and frilly doesn’t necessarily correspond with everyone else’s. There’s certainly nothing wrong with the bubbles.

I agree with Rebecca – I like the stripes (I think they’d look awesome with mitred corners) but there’s nothing wrong with the bubbles.

I decided to go with the bubble border. When I spread out the stripe on all sides of the quilt, I could see that the proportion of colors was quite different in the stripe and in the quilt as a whole. So the stripe border looked kind of out of place.
